Dr. Whitworth is a licensed Psychologist and registered Mediator in Georgia. She holds additional certifications in Infant Mental Health and as a Parent Coordinator. She has extensive training and experience in treating young children, autism spectrum disorders, trauma, attachment disruptions, and children with complex physical health problems. In 2010, she co-founded a group outpatient mental health practice, serving as co-clinical director and supervisor. In 2014, she went on to established a collaborative interdisciplinary private practice within a primary care setting. Dr. Whitworth has worked evaluating and collaborating with parents through referrals from Child Protective Services, Court-ordered parenting and coparenting, as well as self-referred support in navigating life crisis within the family. Her expertise in child development and attachment makes her a frequent expert witness to the courts. In addition to serving as a Parenting Coordinator, Dr. Whitworth co-teaches certification courses and advanced trainings through the Cooperative Parenting Institute on parenting coordination, child resist/refuse dynamics, and supporting healthy attachment while parenting from separate households.
Dr. Whitworth received her doctorate for Georgia School of Professional Psychology in 2009 and her bachelor’s from Wheaton College in 2002.

In addition to Dr. Whitworth’s clinical work, she collaborates with Family Business Counsel to support family enterprises experiencing significant change and growth. By focusing on improving relationship dynamics and communication within the family system, Dr. Whitworth can support families in the work and home environments. Dr. Whitworth can serve as individual coach to family members, facilitate family meetings, and collaborate with other professionals helping advise the family business.
